Vintage: 2003 02/16/2008

This wine tries to find 100 ways to say cherry--iron-inflected cherry, herbal-inflected cherry, mushroom-inflected cherry, cherry blossom--and it succeeds, then settles down into a cherry and truffley set of aromas and flavors wrapped in a silky package. Retains meaty/gamy notes in the nose and palate. Sweetish finish, smooth tannins. Very nice. Wonder what it will become.
