Vincent Girardin Bourgogne Cuvée Saint-Vincent 2009

Winemaker's Notes:

A typical deep color. Made from fruit from the Côte de Beaune only - 1/3 purchased grapes and 1/3 finished wine. No new wood. 50% tank and 50% barrel. A ripe nose of black fruits. On the palate – easy, not at all rustic. Juicy with some walnut and a little bit of earth and tobacco. Some side tannins and a slight dryness on the finish.

A hint of tar accents the black cherry in this burly red. This is rich and concentrated, and a treat with a hearty meal. Think roast chicken. Drink now through 2014.
