Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

92-94 Points "Knockout Chablis aromas of steely minerality, crushed stone, lemon, white flowers, fresh green vegetables and white pepper. Wonderfully rich and generous on the palate, the sweetest yet of these 2009s and boasting the roundness of the vintage's best examples. The minerality returns on the back end, which finishes with notes of silex, warm stones and licorice. Superb premier cru in the making." 90-92 Points "Very pure aromas of pear and white flowers, with a suggestion of spices and a very ripe whiff of banana. Then creamy and sweet but firmly built, with a chalky, lemony underpinning giving the wine shape. I find this very showy today, perhaps because it was the first wine to finish its malolactic fermentation and be racked. Finishes long, fine-grained and sweet, with terrific finesse and precision to the fruit." Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar, Jul/Aug 10, Stephen Tanzer

91-93 Points "Pale, bright yellow. Yellow peach, crushed stone and spicy oak on the very ripe nose. Tactile in the mouth but less sweet than the Sechet and more minerally today; not as easy to taste owing to a higher level of gas. An element of finishing austerity suggests that this premier cru will age slowly. As with Dauvissat's Sechet and La Forest, the average age of vines here is close to 50 years old. Offers terrific potential." Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar, Jul/Aug 10, Stephen Tanzer
