User Reviews for Vina Sila Naiades

Winemaker's Notes:

Reg. Price $32.99, Our Price $26.99 SAVE 20%This big white delivers vanilla notes from oak that mingle with pear, pine and floral flavors. Plush, yet with enough acidity to remain firm and focused. A modern style. Verdejo. Drink now through 2010.The barrel-fermented 2005 Naia Des is sourced from a single parcel of 80- to 100-year-old, ungrafted, Verdejo vines located in La Seca, a village which the locals consider to be the "grand cru" of Rueda. Light gold-colored, it exhibits an attractive perfume of vanilla spice, lemon-lime and honeysuckle. This is followed by a medium-bodied wine with an intense entry, mouth-filling fruit, and excellent balance.""Pale chartreuse color. Smoky apple and pear aromas are complicated by exotic baking spice and floral qualities. Toasty, supple orchard and pit fruit flavors are braced by firm minerality and gain power on the lucid, impressively long finish. This reminds me of a serious Puligny-Montrachet.
