Viña Santa Rita Syrah 120 Special Selection 2006
Interesting - incredible nose - very earthy - barnyard like in a good way , initial smell of heavy fruits like plums and deep black cherry - dry, smooth, lingering finish - for certain needs time to decant - it has been over an hour and it is getting better - very smooth - will come back and update when some time has gone by - we have another bottle and I will decant it for some time before drinking - this is meant to drink on the colder side - getting much better in hour 2 - decant and wait at least 2 hours - refrigerate and leave out till you like the temp - it is now about 4 hours decanted and chilled - this is read more...a no miss wine - it was a gift and I could not be happier - just have to find it now
Full body, great complexity and structure of flavors. Very intense flavor because the strong sweetness is tamed by even stronger tannins. Dark fruit nose and bouquet; Cherry, dark berries, plum taste; mint finish. Personal favorite of sub $20 cab.
Heavy tannins masked the fruit somewhat.
Cheap n' Tasty, a nice winner at a delicious price.
A really good cab for the price! Certainly worth trying!!
The nose is full of nice medium fruit with a bit of dust and spice. Not unlike the Carmenere without the smokiness. On the palate plums prevail before fading to a finish that is attempting to be velvet like with just a hint of tannin. All in all, a perfect quaffer.
A really nice quality price ratio for this Cabernet Sauvignon. Sweet but with a bit of personality, It is a good choice for dinners with friends o family who like red wine without being passionate lovers.

A sophisticated, brooding Cabernet from Chile. It shows plenty of dark fruit, with toasty notes and subtle crushed mint. It's incredible with beef braises.
`Ripe and concentrated with a broad swath of macerated currant fig paste espresso loam and black licorice notes all carried by dense but integrated tannins. The finish lets sage and mint notes chime in.`~(WS)
