From the very beginning, he introduced fine French varieties, winemakers and the most advanced winemaking techniques. From the end of the XIX century until the mid 70´s, Santa Rita developed under the ownership of Mr. Vicente García - Huidobro, father of the famous Chilean poet Vicente Huidobro Fernández. In 1980, the Grupo Claro acquired the Santa Rita property, giving a strong impulse to the enterprise in all of its scope, introducing great technological improvements and wine elaboration techniques unknown in Chile at that time. At the end of the 80´s a great expansion period for Santa Rita starts, sustained by the great momentum experienced by its exports and the excellent reputation acquired by its products, which obtained important awards and worldwide recognition. The producer’s naturally distinctive wines are, as a result, full of the aromas and flavors that make Chile one of the most exciting wine producing countries in the world. Nativa is committed to organic agriculture and sustainable winemaking practices, working to improve soil fertility, produce grapes free of chemical residue, use the maximum amount of renewable resources, all while maintaining the diversity of the ecosystem. The dynamic Nativa Terra Reserva Series perfectly expresses how each varietal thrives in the unique Chilean climate. Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2008 - 87 points, Wine Advocate/ The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva is a spicy, forward wine with savory red and black fruit flavors, a supple texture, and an easy-to-understand personality. Drink this very good value over the next 2-3 years.

/ Dark red. Pungent redcurrant, cherry and underbrush on the nose, with slow-building tobacco and licorice adding complexity. This suave midweight offers ripe red fruit flavors, gentle tannins and good finishing sweetness. A great value, with the complexity of wines costing three times more.
