What to Expect
Cabenet Sauvignon: Originally of French origins, this versatile grape produces exceptional wines around the globe. It's usually medium to full bodied with a fine structure that supports black and red fruit flavors with typical notes of olive, chili and herbs that add complexity.
Winemakers Notes
92 Points Wine Spectator: `Very dense with espresso bittersweet dark chocolate dark currant and tar flavors buttressed by thick loamy tannins. Notes of tobacco and mineral flash on the finish which is muscular but supported by ample acidity. A brute now so cellar. Two other samples were flawed so beware bottle variation. Best from 2006 through 2011. 2000 cases made.`

Wine Spectator Top 100 of 2007! Intense ruby-red colour, with a complex aroma of mature red fruits and black berries with a light menthol tone and characters of vanilla and chocolate. On the palate this is a concentrated wine with body, with a good level of tannins so that a long conservation in the bottle could be achieved. Densely packed, with fig, currant and blackberry flavors, all wrapped up with coffee, bittersweet cocoa powder and loam notes. Long, ripe, muscular finish lets the notes of dark fruit, earth and grilled sage linger. Drink now through 2011. Wine Spectator 91 Points

Our Medalla Real Cabernet Sauvignon is crafted from a single estate in Alto Jahuel, located in Chile's famous Maipo Valley, one of the finest wine producing regions in the world. Its intense aroma is bursting with an elegant combination of ripe blackcurrant and delicate wood notes obtained from the barrels. On the palate, it is full bodied, concentrated and rich in ripe, slightly sweet tannins with a sleek and lingering finish.
