85 % Carmenere, 10 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 5 % Merlot. Deep violet color with a nose of ripe black fruit, cocoa, caramel, and vanilla. This wine has huge, mouthfilling flavors that follow suit and tannic structure to spare. It benefits from time in a decanter and a large steak!!!
"Sorridente" means smile in Italian, and it is our hope that this delicious blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Aglianico will make your day a little brighter and cause you to smile. This wine is densely hued and is redolent of cherries, plums, allspice and cocoa powder. The bouquet is loaded with fruit-perfume and vanilla. Decanting will help release the aromatics and allow the palate to develop more rapidly. The mouthfeel is silky-smooth on entry, with substantial fruit, soft-but-firm tannins and a definitive "Italian" . Pair this wine with Veal shank, New York steaks, and Pork tenderloin. Alternatively, it will pair deliciously with pastas with Portobello mushrooms and marinara sauces. It will improve with 3-7 years of bottle age. Sugar: 0.0
