User Reviews for Viña San Pedro Cabernet Sauvignon Lontué Gato De Oro

Winemaker's Notes:

Variety: 100% Sauvignon Blanc Origin: This wine is obtained from the best Viña San Pedro’s vineyards located in Casablanca Valley. This special wine-region, is characterized by a strong Pacific Ocean’s influence, which provides an ideal and fresh climate for the slow maturation of grapes. The vineyard is a vertical trellis system with drip irrigation. Harvest: The grapes were hand picked the first week of April. The vineyard yield is 8-10 tons per hectare. Vinification: Upon arrival to the cellar, grapes go direct to the press with complete cluster. The must it is left for an alcoholic fermentation with selected yeasts, at controlled temperatures between 14°C and 15°C. New French oak barrels were used to age 15% of the wine, which remained there for about 4 months. Tasting: Colour: yellow straw-coloured, with greenish shades, clean and brilliant. Aroma: intense, but delicate in nose, this Sauvignon Blanc presents floral and fruity aromas, where citric fruits stand out as much as tropical ones. This mix with subtle toasted notes which compose an interesting aromatic complexity. Palate: this wine is fresh, fruit-forward and well balanced. With a good acidity, great middle palate and a long finish.
