Winemaker's Notes:

A blend of 42% Petit Verdot, 33% Carmenere and 25% Cot (also known as Malbec). These were once traditional grape varieties found only in Europe but are now planted in Chile and other new world countries. Hand picked and fermented in cool conditions, macerated on skins for 1 month and aged in French oak barrels for 14 months. This wine was naturally fined and stabilised in barrels followed by light filtration. Vintage: 2006 Grapes: 42% Petit Verdot, 33% Carmenere and 25%Malbec Region: Alto Maipo, Chile Taste: Redcurrants, plum, cedar and spice from the Carmenere and Malbec. Round and smooth tannins from the Petit Verdot, outstanding flavour and complexity. A well crafted wine using Bordeaux winemaking know-ho. Serve: Hearty beef and mushroom caserole ABV: 14.5%
