Open over 2 hours. Beautiful translucent garnet color. Medium-full body, very balanced acidity. Tremendous bouquet that evolved with every sniff -- bright, ripe cherry with notes of cedar, papaya, cinnamon, sandalwood, tobacco, dusty earth and hints of vanilla. Palate shows some strong tannins that need breathing to relax -- baked cherry crumble and notes of pomegranate, raspberry and cranberry. Building finish of stonefruits and oak.
