Weingut: MontesLand: ChileRegion: Colchagua ValleyRebsorte: 100% MalbecAlkoholgehalt: 14,5 Vol. %Inhalt: 0,75 lEmpfohlene Serviertemperatur: 16 - 18°CFassreife: in Barriques gereift (6 Monate) Lagerfähigkeit: 5 - 7 Jahre ab Jahrgang Rotwein > Chile > Colchagua Valley

Winemaker's Notes:

The grapes for this lovely Carmenère come from the Arcangel Estate located at the very West of Colchagua valley - only 11 miles (18 Kms) from the Pacific Ocean. The relatively cold climate allows Montes to ripen the grapes slowly and smoothly, reaching full maturation and fruit expression. The soil profile is mostly clay that provides strength and power to the wine. This Carmenère / Cabernet blend is a deep and lively ruby red colour. The wine has a very elegant and evident Carmenère tipicity, showing lovely black pepper aromas with hints of red berries, chocolate, a bit of vanilla and black plums. In the mouth it is distinctively smooth, with rounded and soft tannins. Long finish. The oak is beautifully integrated and balanced.
