Viña Magaña Tempranillo Blend Navarra Dignus 2004

External Review by Premium Wine & Spirits:

The entry-level 2004 Dignus is composed of 50% Tempranillo, 25% Merlot, and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon aged for 12 months in 50% new French oak. Dark ruby colored, it offers up a fragrant nose of wood smoke, toast, mineral, black cherry, black currant and licorice. Fruit-forward, light in tannin, and easy-going, this tasty wine has no hard edges. Drink it over the next 4andndash;6 years. It is an excellent value.

Ruby-red. Initially reduced nose opens to show a deep dark berry personality. Ripe blackberry and cherry flavors are supported by solid tannins that carry through the finish. Leaves a sweet impression, along with espresso and licorice qualities. This needs air.
