Showing much better on day 3 than on day 1. Lite oak, cherry and dark fruit. Nice spice. Good balance. A more modern style Rioja.

This Reserva is a subtle, supple wine with quiet but intense echoes of truffle, smoke, dried leaves, spices, cassis, rose petals and saddle leather. This little showstopper has the bottle age for drinking now but can continue to hold in your cellar. Best of all, it's at a price that can't be beat. 93 points Wine Spectator: Powerful yet racy, this youthful red boasts a beam of black cherry and boysenberry fruit, with plenty of licorice, mineral and toast notes.
