Vina Garcés Silva Amayna Sauvignon Blanc 2010

External Review:

A nice whiff of smoke weaves through the paraffin, lemon curd, white peach and grapefruit pulp notes. Long, suave finish. Drink now.

The Amayna vineyards are located in the Leyda Valley near San Antonio, Chile, close to the Pacific Ocean. This wine starts out with intense aromas of honeysuckle, grapefruit and apricots. It is followed by rich and balanced fruit flavors of passion fruit, grapefruit and lime. Even though it is light and crisp, it comes off with a creamy texture and layers of minerals, fruit and spice. The luscious finish is tantalizing. I would put this up at the top as one of the finest Sauvignon Blancs that I have tasted!

Intensely flavored, bracingly clean Sauvignon Blanc from Chile. Concentrated and explosive on the palate with lemon oil, mouthwatering pink grapefruit and refreshing minerals scented with green herbs. The finish on this wine last for minutes.

Structure, minerality, and elegant aromas with a fresh, saline touch.
