Viña Cono Sur Viognier Colchagua Valley 2009
Elegant, expressive and dressed in a green-yellow shade of colour, this Sauvignon Blanc impresses with its citrus notes of grapefruit and green apple, which mingle in with herbal hints. In mouth, its freshness and balance specially stand out, along with its citric notes and pleasant mineral ending. It’s a great wine for an aperitif. This wine is an excellent choice to serve as an aperitif or next to vegetarian combinations. It also goes well with soft and fresh cheeses. A few ideas are crunchy toasts with smoked salmon and ricotta, rice cooked with grilled red peppers, chicken breast with lemon juice, and oyster soup.
peachy fruit, a little spritz like, fruit is prevalent, a bit full, with nice length
Harsh. A lot of lemon grass, a bit of citrus. Drinkable and average. Not recommended.
NIce white that is fruity and aromatic. Some nice banana/pineapple going on, and verges on medium bodied. I haven't drank many different versions, must say CLINE makes a nice one. This is great QPR and would be a great wine that is food friendly, and deck friendly in summer!!
Very tangy, refreshing. Crisp on the palate. Very green with a slightly bitter lemon peel finish.
This wine goes well with chicken dishes. We had it with a Greek lemon chicken, Which matched really well. I'd also recommend it with Thai. It is on the sweeter side, more amber in colour and notes of nutty flavor.

Bright and refreshing, this sauvignon offers juicy flavors of lime and pineapple enhanced by generous acidity. Pour it with sushi.
Light but focused, showing gooseberry and sweet pea notes, with a modest finish. Drink now.
Straightforward punchbowl aromas greet you, and beyond that there's melon to the nose. The palate is decidedly softer and rounder than Cono Sur's higher-tier SBs, while the flavors run toward familiar lemon and green apple. Finishes sweet but comfortable. Perfectly good and competent.
Pale yellow. Spicy pear and green apple aromas are complicated by white pepper and citrus pith. Spicy and focused on the palate, showing sweet orange and pear flavors and gentle herbacity. Tangy and easy to drink, if a bit taut, with good finishing cling.
Light straw. Spicy lime and pink grapefruit aromas are complicated by white flowers and quinine. Firm and juicy, with deep citrus and pear skin flavors, light body and a brisk finish. Clean, vibrant and very easy to drink.
So you're invited to a friend's house for dinner. You are not sure what they are preparing, but you want to bring a nice bottle of wine that would go well with a hot summer day. You stop at your local Premier Group store (three locations to choose from), where a very knowledgeable wine associate recommends this wonderful Chilean Sauvignon Blanc. Expecting to pay much more for a bottle of this quality, you are surprised to see it for under ten. It's a good thing you bring two of them because it is a hit at the dinner party. Everyone was so impressed with your selection they all assume when it comes to wine, you are a Cono Sur!
