Viña Cono Sur Sauvignon Blanc San Antonio Valley Organic 2010
Tasted with 3 other S.B. that cost slightly more - Geyser Peak, Ch. Ste Michelle- nice nose - little fruit. Crisp and bright with citrus notes. Preferred this to the others at $8.
Lovely with seafood. A well balanced white with a nice citrus bite

Bright straw. Green apple, lime and lemongrass on the nose, plus a light quinine nuance. Tangy and precise if not particularly complex, featuring good firm acidity providing definition and shape to the brisk citrus flavors. Closes on a brisk, dry no... Stephen Tanzers IWC. A Sauvignon Blanc wine from Aconcagua in Chile. 2010 Cono Sur Sauvignon Blanc Vision 750ml
A bright and impressive Sauvignon Blanc of a pale yellow color with green hints. Expressive aromas of citrus and green apples are laced with herbal notes. Fresh and balanced citric notes in the mouth lead to a pleasant mineral finish. This is an elegant wine that is perfect as an aperitif.
So you're invited to a friend's house for dinner. You are not sure what they are preparing, but you want to bring a nice bottle of wine that would go well with a hot summer day. You stop at your local Premier Group store (three locations to choose from), where a very knowledgeable wine associate recommends this wonderful Chilean Sauvignon Blanc. Expecting to pay much more for a bottle of this quality, you are surprised to see it for under ten. It's a good thing you bring two of them because it is a hit at the dinner party. Everyone was so impressed with your selection they all assume when it comes to wine, you are a Cono Sur!
Light but focused, showing gooseberry and sweet pea notes, with a modest finish. Drink now.
Open-knit aromas of apple, pear, green melon and mineral are perfectly good, while the palate is high in acid and kick. Flavors of grapefruit, generic citrus and grass are solid, as is the finish, which keeps its line. A snappy, alert, easygoing wine.
Chile has become the "go-to" place for awesome valued wines, and Cono Sur is no exception. Notes of fresh-cut grass and a hint of green pepper mixed with lime, grapefruit and other citrus aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied this wine is crisp to its core - I can almost feel the summer breeze while drinking it. The Cono Sur Sauvignon Blanc just oozes freshness at such a fantastic price I could drink it everyday. Yum!
