User Reviews for Viña Cono Sur Pinot Noir Colchagua Valley Visión
Add your reviewLike so many Cono Sur offerings, this Pinot Noir is reasonable value for the lucre. However, it does not differ all that significantly from the cheaper, regular Pinot Noir from this producer to warrant the price difference - at least not in this reviewer's opinion. There is the usual leather, plum and stewed cherry with rubber on the nose - indicating a bit too much sulfur in the preservation stage of the wine-making. The attack is pleasant - if you like this New World stuff - and the finish is medium and likewise reasonably rewarding. However, there is little finesse light tannins notwithstanding. Overall assessment? Decent fare but nothing to write home about if you are a true fan of the Pinot grape.

It's not the type of wine to inspire a deep philosophical discussion or a lot of insightful notes about flavor or anything like that. It's just a nice sipping wine. It's tasty, it's not expensive and I enjoyed it while cooking dinner.
External Reviews for Viña Cono Sur Pinot Noir Colchagua Valley Visión
We're always pleased to taste a Pinot Noir like this one from Cono: bright, fruity, and varietally correct in so many ways. Aromas of raspberries and cherries dominate the palate. The abundant fruit makes this as clear an expression of New World Pinot Noir as anything on our shelves.
Winemaker's Notes:
Fresh, elegant and aromatically intense, this Pinot Noir from Colchagua Valley is dressed in a beautiful, bright ruby red colour. Fruit notes of cherry, ripe strawberry, and raspberry combine with hints of chocolate and cacao. In mouth it is silky, full, structured, and persistent, with fruity notes and soft tannins.
