What to Expect

Carmenère is one of a small group of wines that thrives in its adopted land but struggles to gain acceptance at home. It still is used on occasion in France's Bordeaux region where it adds color and complexity to blends with its distinctive mélange of smoky, herbal and gamy tones. In South America, particularly Chile, it ripens fully and the wines take on added layers of dark berry fruit that gives it a balance rarely achieved in France.

Dark, deep red. Hints of berries, chocolate, cigar box, pepper and mineral notes on the nose. Tasty and full-bodied with a bright, deepred color. It is an elegant, powerful wine whichlingers in the mouth. Enjoy the distinctive taste of Terrunyo Carmenerewith meats, aged cheeses and pastas.
