Aging: 18 months in French oak, 70% new

VINTAGE
Conditions were optimal throughout the 2004 growing season. Rain in early spring followed by cool, dry conditions resulted in an even crop set. The fruit ripened over a summer or warm days balanced by cool evening temperatures. Rain late read more...

Massive wine, broad shuoldered and complex. One of the best malbecs I have tasted.
The 2004 is still very young (as of mid 08). As it opens in the glass, the minerality gives way to a universe of red fruits, spices and cedar notes. Dark as ink and with a structure that is almosy impenetrable, the layers keep unfolding one by one,
I can't wait to drink this wine 4-5 years from now, if I can hold it!
