Massive wine, broad shuoldered and complex. One of the best malbecs I have tasted. The 2004 is still very young (as of mid 08). As it opens in the glass, the minerality gives way to a universe of red fruits, spices and cedar notes. Dark as ink and with a structure that is almosy impenetrable, the layers keep unfolding one by one, I can't wait to drink this wine 4-5 years from now, if I can hold it!
This is a nice wine but not at 140.00. There are many, many Mendoza Malbecs for a fraction of this price that are as good or better. Despite RP's view, this is not a 96 point wine, sorry.
