Viña Casa Marín Sauvignon Blanc Cipreses(2005)

APPELLATION The San Antonio Valley appellation is particularly influenced by marine climatic conditions, creating cooler temperatures which distinguish it from other appellations in Chile. This results in longer grape ripening periods, making it an ideal location for our wines to display unique and signature characteristics. VINEYARD DESIGNATED Located at the very top of a hillside slope, with a northern and southern exposure. Extremely windy conditions act as a natural restraining agent on grape yield. The results are very weak vines and low productivity. MAIN read more...

This is amazing stuff. I've never tasted such an elegant, profound, complex and balanced sauvignon blanc like this. The nose is multi dimensional with a core of tropical fruits and a clear underlying grassy character. There's also some spice, white pepper showing and it all wraps up with amazing complexity. The mouth shows a more delicate white fruit profile on top of a crisp structure and perfect balance. Finishes long and complex. [93]
