Viña Almaviva:
In 1997, Baroness Philippine de Rothschild, Chairman of the Advisory Board of Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA, and Eduardo Guilisasti Tagle, Chairman of Viña Concha y Toro S.A., sealed a partnership agreement with a view to create an exceptional Franco-Chilean wine called Almaviva. Produced under the joint technical supervision of both partners, the first vintage achieved immediate international success upon its launch in 1998.

Dark ruby colour with developing hints of garnet. Fine legs. Fresh blackberries, red currants and a hint of chocolate grainy powder, fresh tanned leather. Medium+ bodied wine, fresh high acidity, soothing sheath of tannins, rich dark berry fruit, hint of granite minerality. Long finish. 93/100. Drink now – 2020.

Mouton's 1994 is revealing some of the vintage's high tannin in its deep ruby/purple color. The wine possesses fine density, medium body, and a toasty, spicy, oaky character along with some ripe cassis fruit. Reserved but promising, it will never be ... Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. Dark-colored, with intense aromas of blackberries, tar and spice, and toasted oak notes as well. Full-bodied, with very silky tannins and a chewy, ripe fruit-accented finish. An impressive Mouton. Better in 1999. Wine Spectator. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 1994 Mouton-Rothschild 750ml
