Viña Albali Tempranillo Valdepeñas 2009
Viña Albali Tempranillo is made by extracting the optimum amount of tannin and fruit in order to preserve the natural flavors and aromas of the grape variety. The sensations of volume and sweet tannin are achieved by carrying out the malolactic fermentation in American oak barrels and continuing the aging process for a period of two months. This is a young wine that remains in oak barrels for a short time.

De nuevo otro hallazgo en relación calidad/precio. Un gran vino dentro de la categoría sub 5€. Y una muy buena opción para consumir habitualmente.
Very easy to drink, enjoyable with traditional unadorned meals.
pomegranate, strawberry, cherry and violet on the nose, juicy cherry, lemon, lilac, pear and plum on the palette, wonderful lingering and juicy notes of cranberry, apple and raspberry on the finish. At $9.99/bottle, I'm glad I bought a few -- this vintage seems to be inconsistent: 1 bottle was fantastic, one was good, one was horrible, and the other is still unopened. Stood up very well with a spicy beef stew over rice.
Bought for EUR 9.25 in Sep, 2004 in Finland at Alko. Had this vintage 1997 on 6 May, 2012, so it has been in my cellar for 7 and 1/2 years. Nice experience, this low priced Valdepenas Gran Reserva has become very smooth, gentle, and almost light. Color is also light and brownish on the edges. Clearly beyond its peak, this wine is a very nice example of how enjoyable old Spanish Gran Reservas can become when stored for a longer time. Wish I had more of these, but I do not.
vino poco valorado pero que está buenísimo
