Vina Albali Tempranillo 2009
Viña Albali Tempranillo is made by extracting the optimum amount of tannin and fruit in order to preserve the natural flavors and aromas of the grape variety. The sensations of volume and sweet tannin are achieved by carrying out the malolactic fermentation in American oak barrels and continuing the aging process for a period of two months. This is a young wine that remains in oak barrels for a short time.
Food Pairings for Vina Albali Tempranillo
The warmth of the Valdepeñas region shows itself in the ultraripe character of the wine, which includes dried blue plums, raisins, and black cherry compote. But this ripeness doesn’t mean that the wine is anything less than fresh and youthful; it’s bright and well crafted. The oak-derived vanilla, spice, and sawdust adds a touch of astringency and black pepper to this otherwise relatively soft and round wine.
Notes: 3 months in American oak barrels
