Member Review by dynowine:

Beautiful balance and integration between spices, fruit, acid, and tannin. Medium-light body. Cocoa and coffee notes. Very elegant.

Un-decanted bottle. Nose had a thin graphite/smoke layer on top of fruit and a hint of floral and maybe herb. Reasonable integration and balance among elements at this time with medium acid and not obivous tannins. Sour almost ripe fruit (black cherry, and other), a bit watery in the mid-palate and finish, with a touch of bitterness. Medium-length finish faded through some oak and tobacco and back to fruit with a slight pleasant bitterness. Medium or lighter body. Dry.

The 2005 is the finest wine produced at this estate since the 1998. A sleeper of the vintage, its dense ruby/purple color is followed by sweet aromas of graphite, earthy soil tones, cherries, cassis, and hints of smoke and herbs. This rich, ripe, med... Rich and round with apple, lemon and toasted oak. Full-bodied, with good fruit and a medium finish. Solid wine.
