Un-decanted bottle. Nose had a thin graphite/smoke layer on top of fruit and a hint of floral and maybe herb. Reasonable integration and balance among elements at this time with medium acid and not obivous tannins. Sour almost ripe fruit (black cherry, and other), a bit watery in the mid-palate and finish, with a touch of bitterness. Medium-length finish faded through some oak and tobacco and back to fruit with a slight pleasant bitterness. Medium or lighter body. Dry.
Beautiful balance and integration between spices, fruit, acid, and tannin. Medium-light body. Cocoa and coffee notes. Very elegant.
