Villafañe and Guzman Parados de Don Manuel Villafañe Winemaker's Select Red Mendoza 2012

External Review by Great Wines Direct:

Pronounced notes of roasted and savoury herbs, fine intergrated tannins through to a smooth, long finish. Carpineto was founded in 1967 by Antonio Zaccheo and Giovanni Sacchet and farms 424 hectares of land spread over four estates among Tuscany's most prestigious appellations. They were been named IWSC Italian Wine Producer Of The Year in 2005 and was the first ever Italian winery ever to win the IWSC International Winemaker Of The Year Trophy in 1994. Antonio Zaccheo is now aided by his son Antonio and daughter, Francesca who both previously worked in the wine trade in the USA. Giovanni Sacchets daughter, Caterina, is studying to become a wine maker. As with any top quality wine, they are produced in limited quantities only. Grapes: 100% Sangiovese Region : Italy / Tuscany / Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG Maker : Giovanni Carlo Sacchet Note: A great intensity of colour and flavour, with pronounced notes of roasted and savoury herbs. Fine intergrated tannins lead through to a lovely smooth, long finish. Serve: At 20c to accompany grilled and roast measts, especially 'Florentine style' T bone steak ABV: 13.5% Suitable for Vegetarians

A pretty, gracious wine, the 2010 Pinot Noir shows the more elegant, feminine side of Pinot. Crushed flowers and red berries are some of the nuances that take shape in the glass. Despite its mid-weight personality, there is no shortage of depth in the aromas and flavors. This is a gorgeous wine. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2016. ** Only 3 in Stock **

Würzige Komponenten, schwarze Beerenfrucht, Schokolade, balsamische Noten, sehr komplex.
