Villa Teresa Organic Prosecco NV

Member Review by Inlitero:

This is an easy-drinking balanced Prosecco. Organically-grown Prosecco grapes, vat-fermented. Equivalent to a demi-sec on the Champagne sweetness scale, this wine exhibits subtle green-apple and a hint of lime on the nose, and the familiar yeasty fresh bread dough component. I can also sense fresh laundry. It is delicious.

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

A nice refreshing sparkler for a lazy Spring evening, this Prosecco is just off-dry with good citrus-like acidity just short of the mouth-cleansing variety. Effervescence is decent, although short in duration; this wine is meant to be drunk quickly and easily. Above average and decent value (85 points).

Tasting Notes:

A straw yellow color with small beckoning bubbles after you pop the cool trigger closure. The nose is a nice lemon and mineral followed with tasty melon on the palate.

This pale straw-colored features clean, crisp lemon and mineral flavors, with juicy melon notes emerging later on the palate. Small bubbles and a crisp finish. Recommended to pair with vegetarian starters or oysters.
