Villa Maria Sauvignon Blanc Cellar Selection 2010
A beautifully intense and lively wine, overflowing with aromas of ripe gooseberry, melon and passionfruit with hints of grapefruit, lime and nettles. The wine is mouth-filling and juicy with vibrant fruit and fantastic mid palate richness and weight, finishing rich and racy with excellent length and crispness. Serving suggestions: Salmon, tomato, green bean and potato salad.
wow. i loved this. tropical citrus and strong grassy floral. wonderful flowery nose. rich on palatte. crisp clean finish. very easy to drink. had with manilla clams soaked in wine and butter and mushroom quesedilla with goat cheese.
This is the second Sauvignon blanc I've had from Marlborough and man... All I can say is where has this wine been all my life? It's not quite as scrumptious as the other one I've tried, but I will definitely be buying this wine again. I can take full sips instead of just taking a tiny bit into my mouth because I don't like it. It's for sure worth every penny you spend on the bottle. It's dry, crisp, very fruity with a hint of green apples, honeydew, and grapefruit. Tastes wonderful on the tongue and the taste lasts in your mouth for a long time.
Fruits tropicaux, très bon rapport qualité-prix.

A great example of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc with typical ripe tropical-citrus fruit, zippy acidity and smoky, peppery flavors. Enjoy this with well-seasoned chicken, pork or fish dishes, especially if they're a little spicy.
