Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

A little woodsy on the nose, then hints of lemon basil add complexity followed by notes of bees’ wax and a little green hazelnut. Lovely, silken texture on entry is followed by a slightly softer mid-palate that shows hints of creamy edges framing the clear, tense core of fruit. This is rather light-bodied and easy to drink with slightly figgy flavors on the palate being framed with hints of mineral quartz and a gentle raw nuttiness. The finish shows a bit of refreshing acidity, bitter grapefruit flavors and some pollen notes. Perhaps not the most varietal Riesling, but very attractive nonetheless. 88pts

This is incredibly easy to drink. Fruity but with all of the acidity that it needs, structured but with some creaminess. A tasty wine. I had this with a homemade take on the spicy/sweet style of Halal street cart chicken and rice and it paired perfectly.
