Villa Maria Priv Bin Sauvignon Blanc 2011
For me, this is a quintescential New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Has aromas of ripe gooseberry and citrus blossoms tinged with tropical fruits. On the palate it is lithe and lovely with zingy acidity. Really a fine spring or summer wine that would be great in the pic nic basket.Add winemaker's notes

Pale yellow-green colour, beatiful aromatics, ripe exotic fruit, like physalys, with hint of spice and interesting minerality. Full, peach and lime juice, apricot, mango ( basically all the exotic fruit that comes into mind). Medium to Long aftertaste, herbal, citric, pepery, with overall sweet fruit impresions. Overall: Fresh&crispy with impresive aroma complexity:87 pct.

A clean, unpretentious sauvignon with high-octane scents of green pepper and lime, this is a fresh, friendly white to chill for meaty fish or chicken with a citrusy salsa.
Precise, perfumed aromas of lemon, lime, gooseberry, pepper and spices. Sweet, round and generous, with fruit-driven flavors of pink grapefruit, lemon and pepper. A rather easygoing style of sauvignon, especially for such a young example, but rich and stuffed with fruit.
There's simple elegance in the grape-based aroma of fresh lime, then the wine is a clean gloss on melon and gooseberry flavor. It finishes tart, a spritz of lime zest for fatty tuna sashimi.
Offers a wonderful mix of pineapple, citrus and passion fruit notes that are ripe, fragrant and terrifically refreshing. A beam of acidity keeps the focus and persistence of flavors, with hints of mineral and white pepper. Drink now.
Villa's entry-level Sauvignon Blanc is a reliable performer year after year, and the 2010 displays a robust blend of leafy-grassy notes with bold citrus flavors. Very refreshing.
This medium-bodied Sauvignon Blanc doesn't have the lush tropical fruit of some versions, or the sharp pungency of others. What it does have is a balanced, minerally mouthfeel and crisp, citrusy flavors ideal for matching with simple seafood dishes.

A beam of acidity keeps the focus and persistence of the flavors of the flavors, showing hints of mineral and white pepper as we... Wine Spectator.
