Butterscotch and black cherry on the nose with just a touch of herbs and a piercing violet top note. On the palate this is very fresh with great acids and unobtrusive tannins that are very soft but add volume in the mouth. The fruit has a muddy, earthy tone that adds nice depth and a touch of complexity to the pure fruit. 88pts

Very good. Had with steak and I enjoyed quite a bit.
Ignore the speculator review , I can get this wine for the mid to low thirties. For that price this works, I'm drinking a glass as I write this.
A very nice Bordeaux blend - went perfectly with my venison steak. Super silky smooth on the palate, with traditional hints of tobacco and leather supported by a well-balanced base. 91/100
A meritage; my 5th wine tasted at the winery. Aromas complete with some pepper, an earthiness and spice. Palate filled with dark fruit, black currants, blackberries, and plums. Structurally balanced and nice complex length.
medium to dark garnet . red berry+cherry. red fruit+spice,smooth+spice,green-white pepper, fresh finish on fruit
citrus+lemonlime+honey, tropical fruit. green melon, touch of grass, mineral, dry cherry fruit, green+herb finish, sour?. out of balance?, too light body, steely

Wine Tasting NotesRuby red. Aromas of rich chocolate, coffee, and cassis with notes of mixed dark fruit and raspberry. Extraordinarily rich and mouth-filling, with flavors of cassis, coffee and toasted oak that grace a well-structured body, full of texture with ripe, supple tannins on the lingering finish.

The Wine News ReviewRated 92Dense crimson hue. Complex scents of mocha, black cherry and vanilla. Creamy flavors of raspberry and black cherry with secondary nuances of orange pekoe tea and rum cake. Velvety tannins and layers of raspberry, cherry and sweet tobacco in the unfolding close.Wine Tasting NotesDeep red. Rich and complex layers of black cherry, cassis, plum and red fruit aromas. Hints of toasted oak and tobacco. Full and round with great balance. Deep, ripe black fruit characters with hints of vanilla and spice. A rich mouth feel with soft tannins and traces of toasted oak that lead to a long and velvety finish.
A classic example of Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon, rich and full-bodied with black cherry, plum, and currant flavors, along with sweet oak and supple tannins.
Wine Tasting NotesLight straw. Figs mingled with pears. Silky fruit flavors the taste of summer abundance linger on the tongue long after the wine is consumed.
Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar Review Medium red. Precise raspberry and redcurrant aromas complicated by assertive garrigue and mineral notes. Highly concentrated, very pure berry flavors are nicely framed by gentle acidity. Finishes silky and very long, with compelling sweetness. Daniel Brunel rates this wine alongside his 1978 and 1998 for sheer quality. Wine Advocate Review Rated 92-94 A beautiful wine is the 2005 Vieux Telegraphe Chateauneuf du Pape. A saturated dark ruby, it offers up notes of seaweed wrappers (nori) intermixed with truffle, black raspberry, cherry, and some black currant, pepper, and iodine. Fleshy, full-bodied, with good acidity, moderately high tannins, and a long, rich finish, this wine will require 2-4 years of bottle age then drink well for close to 20 years. Drink 2009 - 2027.
