Vieux Telegraph Cndp 2006
"...it is a stunningly rich effort boasting an inky/blue/purple color as well as a gorgeous nose of forest floor, coffee, toast, and extravagant levels of black currants and blackberries. Hints of charcoal and flowers add to the wine’s exquisite character...96" WA 02/09 "I love the texture here. This is really impressive for 2006, which is a good but not great vintage. Blackberries, dark chocolate, and lightly roasted oak. Full-bodied, yet holding back with great finesse and strength....94" JS 05/12

One of my favorites. As Wine Advocate said - This has a beautiful core of berry, coffee and chocolate fruit. Full yet very balanced, with a velvety mouthfeel and a long, long finish. Extremely well made, with everything in proportion.
This was really tight when I tried it because the bottle had not been opend long...... Tasted at Geneva wine tasting 4/18/2010.
didn’t like it. thin, heavy tannins, kind of ‘naked’ oak without enough fruit or body to balance it. I love the Franciscan merlot, but this one was a no for me.
Had at Vieux Telegraphe tasting with Daniel Brunier. I hadn't taken notes, but I recall the Telegraphe being significantly more interesting and pleasing than the Telegramme and therefore a better value for the price. My opinion is that when going Chateauneuf du Pape, go big.
Full bodied with dark fruits and a hint of leather. Smooth mouth feel and a great wine for the price!
complex wine, with flavors of oak, leather, and plum. pairs well with dishes that can stand up to its fuller body, like the pork tenderloin we ate it with this past weekend.
enjoyed the wine. the level of merlot softens the wine, but the tannins don't quite stand up. other paso robles blends are better. try justin.

This Merlot-dominated blend is very soft and lush, with upfront chocolate fudge and black cherry flavors. It's an almost sweet wine, although it's basically dry and has good acids.
Plenty of ripe, up-front currant, cedar, herb, sage and dill flavors. Turns tannic, but it's better balanced than many 1998s. Drink now through 2005.
Inviting aromas of dark cherry, sage, and red plums. Complex layers of ripe berries, with undertones of vanilla and cloves. Full-bodied and textural, with ripe flavors of black plum and cherry, cocoa and cassis.
Estancia, which began as an Alexander Valley label founded by Agustin Huneeus, is now part of Constellation’s Icon Estates portfolio and is focused on vineyards in Monterey (for cool-climate grapes li
Ripe and distinctive, with a toffee , spice scented tone to the supple currant and blackberry flavors, finishing rich and elegant. Has the style and concentration to mature thru 1998. 70% Cabernet Sauvignon 25% cab Franc, and 5% Merlot.
Telegramme Châteauneuf du Pape Brunier 2006 and all other wine from Telegramme are available for immediate delivery and discounted prices from CheaperCigars.com. We also carry wide variety of wine from France and across the globe.
This Bordeaux-style red blend is one of the most reliable of its genre. Grilled steak brushed with garlic and extra virgin olive oil or roast lamb would complement it well.
