Vietti Cascinetta Moscato Dasti Case of 6 Bottles 2010
"Made in a fairly bold style. It is fascinating to compare the Moscatos of Castiglione Tinella, a great village for the wine, but one of many places where Moscato is made. Vietti’s version impresses for its textural depth and richness. A creamy finish rounds things out nicely." WA 10/11
Tasted this for the first time at the Wine Kitchen in Leesburg. Is a wonderful ending to a rich meal, accompanies light mousse or tarte desserts well.
My favorite Moscato!
An amazing, decently priced sparkling wine that's great on a day to day basis. Bright and big mouth feel, honey and apricot are prevalent.
This wine knocked my socks off. I thoroughly loved it.

With less lively mousse than some, this Moscato d'Asti delivers an elegant and refined nose pinpointed on garden flowers, white roses and hints of jasmine. These aromas are further accented by the polished mineral note that tightly frames this wine.
The clean flavors of nectarine and ripe peach feel brisk and spritzy in the middle, then last on sweetness. Chill it to sip after dinner.
Vietti, which make some of Piedmont's most user-friendly wines across the full spectrum of price ranges, scores major points with this light-bodied, sweet frizzante. It smells of gardenias and fresh summer herbs, and it pulses with kiwi, nectarine and pineapple flavor. there's nothing not to like about this low-alcohol (5.5%) liquid dessert - surely the perfect match for ice cream or fruit salad.
Winemaker Notes - Pale sunshine yellow color and slight frizzante, this Moscato d'Asti has intense aromas of peaches, rose petals and ginger. On the palate it is delicately sweet and sparkling with modest acidity, good balance, good complexity and a finish of fresh apricots. As aperitif, perfect accompaniment to Pan-Asian cuisine and lobster as well as pastry, fruit based and creamy desserts and blue cheeses.
The 2009 Moscato d'Asti is very nicely made in this vintage. Fresh green apples, flowers and spices meld together nicely in this creamy, vibrant Moscato. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2011
