Viansa Dolcetto Sonoma County Athena 2007
Crafted from Dolcetto grapes, a varietal native to northern Italy, our 2007 "Athena" Dolcetto is a fruity delight, an off-dry red bursting with notes of raspberry and cranberry. This wine has an inviting high fruit-ness and low tannin, with a soft and supple mouth-feel, making it ideal for early consumption. We also recommend chilling "Athena" slightly before serving for added enjoyment.
Very light and fruity. Very close to Italian Chianti
I discovered the 2007 at a store and after tasting it, I ran back to the store and bought 6 more to give as Christmas gifts. A full bodied red for sure. Everyone loves it.

This is one of my favorite wines. it is a lighter red and is great as an everyday table wine. Try it with a bowl of spaghetti and itialian sausage. You won't regret it.
