Veuve du Vernay Champagne Blend Brut Rosé 1975

First of all, don't let the price point scare you out of buying this Rose. I tried the Brut on a friend's recommendation and enjoyed it so much that when I learned there was a Rose, I had to try it. This sparkling is best served very chilled. At a low temperature, it may not taste as good and the bubbles tend to be a lot bigger. Definitely worth drinking.
This is a quality, tasty sparkling wine at a truly bargain price. It's dry, but has interesting yet subtle hints of strawberry on the nose and the palate. It drinks as well as sparkling wines more than twice its price. It's quite versatile as a wine to pair with a wide variety of foods. I greatly prefer the Veuve du Vernay Rosé to the Veuve du Vernay Brut. This is a value sparkling rosé that you can serve at your parties with confidence that your guests will enjoy it. And it's also a nice one to just have on hand at home for when you're in the mood for a good, affordable sparkling wine.
