Verum Rose 2010

Member Review by WinePleasures:

Deep ruby color from the two varietals, only a whiff of rose petals on the nose otherwise surprisingly muted. Lush, juicy baked berry fruit flavors burst forth on the palate. Mild astringency doesn't leave your mouth puckering. Lacks any sort of high acidity but not characteristic of these grapes. This wine is like coming home after a long day to find dinner waiting for you, it is a pleasant surprise. The label is also a great minimal design that is not seen in many of the bodegas in this region. Drink with a spinach salad with tomatoes, mushrooms, hard-boiled egg, red onion and finished with a bacon vinagrette.
