What to Expect

Vernaccia is one of Tuscany's great grapes. It produces a medium-bodied yet bright white wine that offers well-integrated citrus and orchard fruits with notes of dried herbs, roasted nuts and salty minerals adding complexity.

Winemakers Notes

From the Latin 'vernaculum' meaning local, the Vernaccia grape isascribed to many varieties across Italy. Vernaccia di San Gimignano is its mostfamous form. Grown around the eponymous hilltop town near Siena, it boastsbright citrus fruit, crisp acidity and a tangy, almost salty finish.

Berry Bros & Rudd review: The nose rings with cool, salted almonds and an almost sherry-like tang, yetthe beauty of this 12% light bodied white, refreshingly decorated with herballypure, citrus, refined, racy flavours lies in its versatility either as anaperitif or accompaniment with fish soup.(David Berry Green, BBR Buyer)
