The 2007 Vermentino di Sardegna La Cala is classic Vermentino, with its soaring, perfumed aromatics, and crisp, clean fruit. A refreshing white, it is best enjoyed over the next year. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2009.

At less than 12% alcohol, this is a lighter-styled Vermentino. Nevertheless, it has forward aromas of tropical fruit and flowers, and then flavors of tangy apple, papaya and lime. It's snappy on the tongue and clean. Very easygoing and solid.

Bright and crisp, with a lemon-lime and almost salty character. Medium-bodied, with lovely acidity and a grapefruit aftertaste. You can taste the sea here. Drink now.

The nose gives an insight to the palate - scents of crisp apple, pear and lemon, as well as some light minerality. The surprise? When you taste the wine, there is a hint of almonds on the finish. The minerality and crispness on the nose would indicate a wine that is very light in body, but the palate reveals a slightly bigger body with a touch of creaminess. Even with a slightly bigger body, the zesty acidity is still very much present to cleanse your palate and make your mouth water for some light summer fare. Vermentino pairs wonderfully with all kinds of fish and shellfish, salads, roasted vegetables and light hors d?oeuvres.

Here is a fresh and fragrant Vermentino with mineral and saline notes that form a pretty frame to citrus and exotic fruit. This is an easy-drinking wine with crisp acidity and a refreshing feel overall.

Medium-bodied, with lovely lemon and mineral character, good acidity and a fresh apricot finish. Subtle.

Offers appley aromas and flavors of lemony fruit and subtle almond. It is ample in the mouth with bright and balanced acidity, and the finish is lively and lingering.
