Winemaker's Notes:

Sourced from north and north-westerly vineyards at Vergelegen, Somerset West. Dominating soil types are decomposed granite, Hutton and weathered shale. This is the new 2007 vintage of the Vergelegen Mill Race, though the 'Mill Race' has been removed from the label this year. Still keeping with the same composition of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, it is an attractive dark ruby colour and the nose shows ripe berry, plum, chocolate and coffee flavours. There is also a hint of mint, spice and pencil shavings. The tannins in the 2007 are fine-grained with great fruit-wood integration. Share this fantastic value red with friends over a pizza or bowl of pasta, or complement a rich stew or premium cut of red meat.
