What a cool, crisp nose with tobacco, blackberry, mint, roast meats and poblano chile and a hint of cinnamon all in harmony. On the palate this had a clean, fresh feel with precise yet unevolved fruit that didn't match the complexity promised by the nose. Rich with crisp and smoky blackberry fruit with vegetal hints of mint and asparagus adding complexity this will improve with several years cellaring. the tannins are exceptionally appealing. 91pts

Classic South African eucalyptus, green pepper aromas, tar leather and herbed palate -- a bit of spice and a long complex finish that's quite herbaceous. Full of black pepper.

Meaty, gamey nose leading to a very dry, aged wine with notes of christmas spices that work with the herbal quality well. Very nice, offbeat and interesting.
