Winemaker's Notes:

Notes on the Verdad Tempranillo Santa Ynez Valley 2005 : NVWE NOTES: Lovely, soft-edged but focused nose of mocha and toffee enriched plum, berry, vanilla and black pepper scents over a submerged strain of jammy strawberry. It is just as soft-edged on the palate, but is firmed by youth. The finish lingers nicely, offering a ripe combination of dark plum, toffee and vanilla. Built for Veal Scaloppini Marsala, rich ragouts and sauced meat courses, it is already attractive and will surely improve for another eighteen months.WINEMAKER NOTES: The wine was blended together in March of 2006 and aged a total of 16 months before bottling. The wine has ripe cherry and berry aromas with layers of black cherry, cocoa and spicy-smoky flavors with a touch of cinnamon and toast. This is a full-bodied wine with rich flavors and good balance and a long satisfying finish.VERDAD TEMPRANILLO SANTA YNEZ VALLEY 2005
