The 2011 Sauvignon Blanc La Gloria displays a fragrant nose of grapefruit, spring flowers, and baking spices. Fresh and lively in the glass with just a hint of sweetness, this savory effort is a very good value meant for drinking over the next 12andndash;18 months.

WINEMAKER NOTESSauvignon Blanc grapes are grown in the estate vineyards across a total of 47 vineyard blocks. Warm days and cool nights contribute to long, even ripening. Sauvignon Blanc vines are trellised with an interior tunnel to increase airflow so that the grapes do not overheat and retain freshness, aromatics and flavor. The wine is fermented in stainless steel.APPEARANCEGood clarity with light straw colorAROMAFresh lemon-lime fruit, intense peach, citrus, and herbs mingle with floral accentsTASTING NOTESMedium-bodied with tropical and citrus fruit flavors of white grapefruit and lime with a long crisp finish and some minerality - WineryAPPELATIONCasablanca Valley, ChileHARVEST DATEMarch 2011VARIETAL100% Sauvignon BlancALCOHOL13.5%TOTAL ACIDITY4.36 g/lPH3.19

Light straw and saline notes lead to a solid core of gooseberry, citrus and chive flavors. Drink now.

Shy and clean on the nose, which offers up only mild grapefruit and lime. The feel is tight and stony, with pithy citrus and green apple flavors. Leans towards green and herbaceous on the finish, but never fully goes green while maintaining clarity and crispness.
