Veramonte Sauvignon Blanc la Gloria 2011

Winemaker's Notes:

90 points Wine & Spirits: From the warmer, eastern reaches of Casablanca, this sauvignon is generous in its citrus flavors, balanced by refreshing acidity. For aperitifs. (Feb 2012) 88 points and 'Best Buy,' Wine Enthusiast: Shy and clean on the nose, which offers up only mild grapefruit and lime. The feel is tight and stony, with pithy citrus and green apple flavors. Leans towards green and herbaceous on the finish, but never fully goes green while maintaining clarity and crispness. Alcohol 13.5%. (Jun 2012)

The 2011 Sauvignon Blanc La Gloria displays a fragrant nose of grapefruit, spring flowers, and baking spices. Fresh and lively in the glass with just a hint of sweetness, this savory effort is a very good value meant for drinking over the next 12–18 months.

Light straw and saline notes lead to a solid core of gooseberry, citrus and chive flavors. Drink now.
