Veramonte Sauvignon Blanc 2003

Winemaker's Notes:

Veramonte is located in the remote Casablanca Valley alongside Chile’s rugged Pacific Coast. The wild Patagonia lies to our south and the mighty Andes Mountains rise behind us in the east. In this distant winemakers’ paradise are nestled 1,000 acres of grape vines among 10,000 acres of wild land that Veramonte has preserved as a natural greenbelt. Vintage Notes Chile’s Casablanca Valley is the premier place in the Southern Hemisphere to grow Sauvignon Blanc that ripens to perfection with rich fruit flavors complemented by lively acidity. Veramonte’s Sauvignon Blanc grapes are grown in the estate vineyards with well-drained, sandy decomposed granite and alluvial soils. Warm days and cool nights are the signature conditions of the dry growing season at Veramonte. Appearance Good clarity with light straw color. Aroma Fresh stone fruit, citrus, and herbs mingle with floral accents. Flavor Zesty, medium body with flavors citrus, melon and herb flavors that linger on the palate. Appellation Casablanca Valley, Chile Varietal Composition 100% Sauvignon Blanc Total Acidity 4.90g/l pH 3.2 Alcohol 13.5%

Being a vineyard-based winery is the essence of our philosophy We believe a great wine is a reflection of the care and uniqueness of its terroir - the combined environment of soil, topography, climate and people. We are committed to nurturing this tie of wine to its soil, to its "somewhereness", so that each of our wines reflect the full expression of our vineyards. Our philosophy at Veramonte is founded in our conviction that the terroir of the variety is of the utmost importance in determining the wine's character, quality and value. Read less

Fresh, crisp, and intense. Luscious floral aromas and zesty acidity combine in a delicious, refreshing wine.
