What to Expect

Cabenet Sauvignon: Originally of French origins, this versatile grape produces exceptional wines around the globe. It's usually medium to full bodied with a fine structure that supports black and red fruit flavors with typical notes of olive, chili and herbs that add complexity.

Reviews

This red is based on Carmenère, a rare old Bordeaux grape that was widely planted there in the 1700s and is currently undergoing a revival in Chile. Rich yet elegant, this full-bodied wine from Franciscan Estates' excellent new Chilean property is a top-notch find, and enough to convert anyone who hasn't yet discovered the glories of Chilean wine.

I've had corked wines, wines with zero nose, wines with zero taste, but never a wine that smelled like dirty socks in a high school gym locker. I'd be careful on this one.
