What to Expect

The classic Bordeaux blends rely on either Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon for the bulk of the wine with additions of Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec helping to add complexity, color, body and structure to the finished wine.

Winemakers Notes

Primus is made with the same detail-intense winemaking practices reserved for the top
Cabernet based wines of the world. In the vineyards, yields are managed to a meager 2-3 tons

Reviews

A rich, massive wine with smooth, supple tannins and dense, multi-layered flavors. Primus is comprised of Carmenere, widely planted in Bordeaux in the 1800s, but now found only in Chile. This ususual cousin of Merlot produces wines of deep, exotic flavors and great aging potential.
