- A rich, massive wine with smooth, supple tannins and dense, multi-layered flavors. Primus is comprised of Carmenere, widely planted in Bordeaux in the 1800s, but now found only in Chile. This ususual cousin of Merlot produces wines of deep, exotic flavors and great aging potential.

May 2008
- One of the highest vineyards in the valley (higher is hotter in Casablanca), Veramonte can achieve enviable ripeness while still retaining the elegance of fruit and minerals imbued by the valley's cool climate. Drink up to 2004.
