Venus la Universal Dido la Universal Montsant Garnacha 2012

Winemaker's Notes:

This wine comes from a plot of 10 hectares of degraded granite land called gravel. The sandy gravel structure and graceful texture changes temperature rapidly depending on the climate. Heated during the day and cools at night, allowing the grapes a good and long maturation. The spice in Grenache makes it a perfect pairing buddy to spiced and herb foods including roasted meats, vegetables and many ethnic foods. Alcohol is a solvent to capsacin, which is the heat unit in spicy foods. A high-alcohol Grenache can help reduce the burn of spicy food.

Fermentation is done with unselected yeasts so as to contribute to the aromatic and structural variety of the wine and respect the expression of the terroir. Read less
