*90 points - The Wine Gang March 2009* Ignacio Recabarren is the godfather of modern winemaking in Chile and he has started a joint venture with cool climate grape grower, Vicente Izquierdo. The vineyards are situated in the cool climate region of Leyda, just 6 miles from the Pacific Ocean. The salty sea breezes help to produce wonderfully aromatic and zesty wines.This Sauvignon Blanc has intense citrus and nettles on the nose. There is a real depth of flavour and a long mineral finish. Ignacio Recabarren is the godfather of modern winemaking in Chile. The fruit produced is intense and loaded with minerals and Ignacio works his magic on this prime fruit.
